Explanation
PREPARATION OF PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCT FOR APPLICATION
The plant protection product calculated over the recommended dosage is first mixed with some water in a separate container. The tank of the application machine is half filled with water. While the mixer of the machine is running, the mixture is added to the tank. The mixing is continued and the tank is completed with water. Mixing process continues until the application is completed. Use the prepared mixture on the same day.
Calibration:
Calibration of the application machine should be done before spraying. The amount of mixture to be given to a certain area should be well adjusted in order to provide a good coating. Applications should be done in cool hours of the day in windless or less windy weather conditions.
CLEANING OF THE APPLICATION MACHINE:
Empty the application machine's tank safely immediately after the application is completed. After filling the tank with clean water, run the mixer and spray system to ensure that all parts are washed. Do not wash near water sources. Do not pour the washing water and waste into water sources.
HOW TO USE THE PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCT
Carnation - Red Spider; Plant protection product should be applied to plants before flowering or after flower cutting. Spraying is done when there is an average of 10 red spiders in a leaf. One application is sufficient. The lower leaves of plants are frequently checked and a red spider is sought. If there is local contamination, application is made to this area only. If there is a general infection, all application is made. Since red spiders are located under the leaves, especially these parts should be applied.
Tomato, Eggplant, Pepper and Cucumber - Red Spiders; Application should be done when an average of 3-5 live red spiders per leaf are seen in Tomato, Eggplant and Cucumber and 1-3 in Pepper.
Strawberry - Two-Point Red Spider;
Early Application: An application should be carried out in the strawberry fields where red spiders are a problem every year, when the red spider is seen during the flower and green fruit period (before the first ripe fruits are seen). Early application is safer in order not to leave any residue on fruits.
Seasonal application: In cases where early application is not made, the strawberries grown in the open field are checked at the beginning of the season (late March - early April) with an interval of 3-5 days. Red spiders appear in the surrounding plants at the beginning of the season. Firstly, it is sufficient to control and apply these plants. If the population is widespread, at least 50 leaflets from the middle and lower parts of the plants are examined to represent the field. If 15 or more red spiders are detected per leaflet, it is decided to apply immediately. Application is done immediately after fruit collection. Harvesting should be done by paying attention to the period between the last application and harvest.
Vineyard - Two-Point Red Spider; In the fight against the Two-Point Red Spiders in the vineyard areas, the areas where the pest spread has to be observed, an application should be made when the population density exceeds an average of 8 motile individuals per leaf. If the harmful population density continues above the threshold, a second application should be done when the crop protection product has expired or after harvest, taking into account the time between the last spraying and harvest.
INFORMATION ABOUT RESISTANCE
The plant protection product named CARRIER 240 SC is an acaricide classified as Group 25 according to its mechanism of action. Repetitive applications of plant protection products with the same mechanism of action promote resistance development. For this reason, to delay developing resistance, do not exceed total application number of CARRİER 240 SC in the same season. In cases where the application should be repeated, pay attention to the use of plant protection products with a different mechanism of action (except group 25).
