APPLICATION PREPARATION AND USE

Drug Effect:

EKOMYL 90 SP is an insecticide used in water-soluble powder formulation against various pests in cotton, tobacco and soy. When pests reach economic harm level with EKOMYL 90 SP, spraying should be done at recommended doses. Use the EKOMYL 90 SP only for the agricultural production product, do not use it in the home gardens or for any other purpose.

Preparation of the drug for application:

Make sure the spraying tool is clean before preparing the medicine. Fill the spraying tank with water up to ¼ or ½. Put the EKOMYL 90 SP in the spraying tank, mix well with mechanical and hydraulic mixers. Air mixers are not used. Use the prepared medicine immediately.

Usage of the drug:

While the cotton plant is faded due to thirst, some flushing may occur after EKOMYL 90 SP applications. In order to prevent redness, it is recommended not to do spraying while the cotton plant is withered. It does not cause any color change at low doses and thus can be used many times throughout the season. EKOMYL 90 SP can be used in all growth cycles of cotton, but more redness can be seen due to the maturation of cotton at the end of the season. Always use in recommended doses. According to many trials in the world, the result of spraying with 7-15 days intervals does not reduce the redness crop. Laboratory and field trials have shown that EKOMYL 90 SP has an ovisite (egg-killing) effect against green wolf eggs. It can be seen that when using insecticides with the same mechanism of action in the same place in a row and for many years, some pest species gain durability and prevail in that area. As a result, with the recommended doses of the drugs, there is no sufficient effect against these pests. Alternative use of insecticides with another mechanism of action and the inability to mix tanks with such drugs delay or prevent pests from gaining durability.

Cleaning of the Sprayer:

Immediately after spraying, take all necessary protective measures and rinse all parts of the sprayer, including the pump, hoses and pipes, nozzle and strainers, with clean water. Do not contaminate wastewater into streams and lakes.

INFORMATION ABOUT RESISTANCE

Plant protection product named EKOMYL 90 SP is an insecticide classified as Group A / 1 according to its mechanism of action. Repeated applications of plant protection products with the same mechanism of action promote resistance development. For this reason, to delay developing resistance, do not exceed total application number of EKOMYL 90 SP in the same season. In cases where the application should be repeated, pay attention to the use of plant protection products with a different mechanism of action (except group A / 1). Do not spray more than two times with EKOMYL 90 SP in the same product in the same place in one season.

MIXTURE STATUS

It can be mixed with many pesticides other than alkaline ones such as high acid and lime burgundy slurry. However, whether a large-scale mixture is possible or not, the reliability of the mixture against the plant to be used should be tested with a small-scale mixture and used in small plots after pre-application. When preparing the mixture, EKOMYL 90 SP should be placed in the spraying tank.

• Use a mask, protective suit, gloves and goggles.
• Do not eat, drink or smoke during the application of the plant protection product.
• Do not let people and animals enter the field for 1 day.
• To prevent risks to human and environmental health, use as recommended and at the recommended dosage.
• It is strictly forbidden to use other than the recommended products.

POISONING SYMPTOMS

METHOMYL poisonings occur due to anticholinesterase activity-related weakness, headache, blurred vision, nausea, stomach cramps, chest tightness, shrinkage of the pupils, muscle tremor sweating and pulse drop.

FIRST AID MEASURES

ATROPINE antidote. For urgent needs, consult a doctor for 0.5 mg atropine tablets. In case of questionable poisoning, see your doctor under any circumstances. If swallowed, drink 1-2 glasses of water and touch the back of the throat with your fingers or something to induce vomiting. Do not give anything by mouth to a sick person or vomit and call a doctor. If inhaled, remove patient from this area. Keep calm by lying on your back. If the patient is not breathing, give artificial respiration. Do not give the patient anything by mouth. If warning symptoms are seen (warning symptoms are given below), 2.5 tablets (0.5 mg each) of ATROPINE are swallowed before the doctor arrives. This process is continued every 10-15 minutes until the throat dries. It is continued to drink as much as necessary until the doctor arrives. If the drug gets into the eyes, wash the eyelid open for 15 minutes with a little running water. In case of skin contamination, wash with plenty of soap and water and, if necessary, perform medical attention.

ANTIDOTE and TREATMENT

ATROPIN SULPHATE should be used for treatment. Continue intravenously at a dose of 1.2-2 mg every 10-30 minutes until recovery is seen. Artificial respiration and oxygen may be required. None of the other cholinesterase inhibitors should be used until the patient has recovered. Do not use morphine or 2-PAM. However, 2-PAM is used as recommended above to complement the ATROPINE SULPHATE treatment as described above to reveal the toxicity of EKOMYL 90 SP and organic phosphorous insecticides.

MATTERS TO BE CONSIDERED WHEN USING AND STORING

• It is poisonous to honey bees, birds, fish and other wild animals.

STORAGE STATUS

When stored under normal (cool and dry) conditions, there is no change in the physical, chemical and biological properties of the drug for 2 years outside the tolerance limits.
