Explanation
PREPARATION OF PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCT FOR APPLICATION:
The plant protection product calculated over the recommended dosage is first mixed with some water in a separate container. The tank of the application machine is half filled with water. While the mixer of the machine is running, the mixture is added to the tank. The mixing is continued and the tank is completed with water. Mixing process continues until the application is completed. Use the prepared plant protection product on the same day.
Calibration
Before the application, the calibration of the application machine should be done. The amount of mixture to be given to a certain area should be well adjusted in order to provide a good coating. Applications should be done during the cool hours of the day in windless or less windy weather conditions.
CLEANING OF THE SPRAYING MACHINE
Empty the sprayer tank safely immediately after the application is completed. After filling the tank with clean water, run the mixer and spray system to ensure that all parts are washed. Do not wash near water sources. Do not discharge washing water and wastes into water sources.
THE USE OF PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCTS:
Tobacco whitefly in cotton: When considering the white fly density, the fight should be started when there are 10 larvae + pupae per leaf.
Cotton aphid: Application should be postponed if beneficial insects are dense with aphid in field controls. Application is recommended when 50% dish seedling is detected after dilution during seedling period and an average of 25 aphids per leaf in field.
Leaf fleas in cotton: A cotton field of 50 da in surveys is divided into 4 sections. Leaf fleas are counted in all 25 leaves, 1 of which is taken from the lower, middle and upper part of the main stem of the plants randomly selected from each section. In this way, the average number of pests per leaf is found in a total of 100 leaves from the entire area. When an average of 10 leaf fleas are detected per leaf, application is performed.
Potato beetle; When the daily average temperature reaches 14-15 C, it is entered in the field in the direction of its diagonals, and the pest's eggs, larvae and adults are sought in the quarries. Having any period indicates that the field is dishwasher. If the application is to be made against the first generation, it should be done when the first mature larvae (fourth period) are seen in the plants. In case of application to the second batch, the egg opening should be completed. In this period, application may not be necessary as the damage due to insect density can be tolerated by the plant. However, as a result of the researches, the 20% damage caused by the potato beetle on the leaves of the potato plant can be tolerated by the plant and there is no reduction in the product. This rate rises up to 40% depending on the phenological period and development of the plant.
Tobacco whitefly in tomato: It is entered in the field in terms of diagonals, which is found to be contaminated with a white fly. In every 5 steps, 50 leaves are collected from the lower, middle and upper leaves. Chemical combat is applied when there are 5 larvae-pupae per leaf.
Pistachio psillid: Application should be done when 20-30 nymphs are seen per leaf as a result of counts made in 100 compound leaves weekly, when the majority of eggs are opened and before the first adult parasitoid exit and adhesive layer (fumajin) on the leaf surface.
Green aphid on apple; If there are dishes in 15 out of 100 shoots during the vegetation period, application should be done.
Peach aphid in watermelon and pepper (Greenhouse); For sampling, a grain field of 40-50 decares is accepted as one unit. In the units, the zigzag is walked in line with the diagonals of the field, and the adult and nymphs of the pest are searched and counted in all the above-ground organs every 10-15 m. Survey is done 1-2 times a week. Considering the results of the survey on the aphids and the density of natural enemies, it is decided whether or not to struggle within the framework of the cooperation between the relevant research institutes and the provincial directorates of Agriculture.
INFORMATION ABOUT RESISTANCE
The plant protection product named PASCAL 20 SP is an insecticide classified as Group 4: A according to its mechanism of action. Repeated applications of plant protection products with the same mechanism of action promote resistance development. For this reason, to delay developing resistance, do not exceed the total number of applications recommended in the same season of PASCAL 20 SP. In cases where the application should be repeated, pay attention to the use of plant protection products with different mechanism of action (except Group 4: A).
